Our Metropolis (Feb. 14, 2016): The 79th Nevada State Legislative Session
This week host Gary Larson and regular panelists David Damore and Elizabeth Thompson discuss some of the bills being considered at during the Nevada legislative session. One of the most talked about bills is the renaming of the holiday Columbus Day to Indigenous People’s Day. The panel concludes with a discussion of charter schools in Nevada.
The 79th Nevada state legislative session opened last week in Carson City. There is plenty of work to do this year and not that much time to do it. In this segment, host Gary Larson sits down to discuss the legislative priorities for this biennium with the Director of UNLV’s Lincy institute, Robert Lang, and our own regular contributor David Damore.
