The 2017 NBA Summer League schedule has been released.

A record 24 teams will participate in this summer’s NBA Summer League. There will be a total of 63 games played which is also a record.

Opening day will be July 7th. A total of 6 games will be played at the Cox Pavilion and the Thomas & Mack Center.

July 8th at 5:30p.m., NBA TV will feature a showdown between the Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers. This game will be one of the more interesting matchups this summer.

The Celtics and the Lakers own the top two picks in this year’s draft. There are a lot of different stories on who the Celtics and Lakers will select for their picks or if they would trade their picks.

On July 10th, NBA TV will be airing a doubleheader. It includes a Finals rematch between the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers along with a match between the Los Angeles Lakers and The Sacramento Kings.

Preliminary games will be held through July 11th. Teams will be seeded for a tournament as they compete for a summer league championship.

Tournament play will begin on July 12th where teams seeded 9th-24th  will faceoff. There will be a total of 8 games played on that day.

On July 13th, teams seeded 1st-8th will square off with the winners of the July 12th games. There will also be a loser’s bracket which will take place July 14th.

Winners will advance to the Quarterfinals and play on July 15th. July 16th the semifinal games will be played.

The NBA Summer League championship game will be played at the Thomas & Mack Center and July 17th at 10 p.m. ET,. on ESPN.
