Las Vegas vocalist Elisa Fiorillo was a backing singer for Prince’s New Generation lineup for five years, running from 2009-2014, and knew the artist for 25 years. She most recently reunited with many of her bandmates backing Shiela E. during a tribute to Prince at the BET Awards telecasts from Los Angeles. Fiorillo recalls the impact the legendary composers and performer had on her life and career, her favorite moments in her time with him, and talks of her upcoming gigs with Earl Turner at South Point and the Bruce Harper Big Band at the Smith Center.

Kelly Clinton-Holmes made her stage debut with Wayne Newton in the 1980s and has been a Las Vegas favorite ever since. She is currently hosting her long-running, open-mic nights at Bootlegger Bistro and has also just started a Wednesday night series at Tuscany Suites. She talked of her hubby (the great Clint Holmes), her years with Wayne and even performs a couple of spot-on impressions.
Maren Wade is at once a Strip performer as a cast member in “50 Shades: A Parody” at Windows Showroom at Bally’s, and also a columnist for Las Vegas Sun sister publication Las Vegas Weekly. The column is called “Confessions of a Showgirl,” and Wade talks of that column and the production.
As the closing of “Jersey Boys” at Paris Las Vegas on Sept. 18 has been announced, Travis Cloer is already prepping for life beyond the show. His “With a Twist” show, a collaboration with Chris Lash, is set to debut July 25 at 7:30 p.m. At Grandview Lounge at South Point.
Las Vegas vocalist Michelle Johnson has quickly put together a powerhouse lineup of Vegas entertainers for the June 7 “Forever Purple” tribute to Prince at Cabaret Jazz, on what would have been his 58th birthday. Johnson talks of that effort, and of her years in town as Las Vegas’ First Lady of Jazz.
