In the Studio with Jazz Eclectic Wednesday, February 21st 6PM-8PM

The music, art, and lifestyle of Jazz come to you from the performance studio here at KUNV with hosts Bijon Watson, Niles Thomas and Dame Madelyn and special guest John Beasley.  Bijon Watson is both musician and educator.  His career as a trumpeter spans 25 years and crosses multiple continents.  His performance in LaLaLand introduced his artistry to a new generation of jazz fans.  Niles Thomas is known as “The Duke of Jazz Noir”. An avant-garde singer/ songwriter that may very well be one of the most original artists of today. His music possesses a tasteful, sexy jazz noir style.  We’re fortunate that he calls Las Vegas home today.  Dame Madelyn’s music is deep, expressive, and an eclectic mix of Jazz, Bossa Nova, and Blues. Madelyn is a Las Vegas native.  A guest performance by John Beasley completes our in-studio show.  Beasley is an accomplished pianist and a composer for film and television, and he has been the musical director for every International Jazz Day All-Star Global Concert. Several years ago he formed the MONK’estra, a Los Angeles-based big band, in order to play Monk’s music with contemporary flair.  Listen to 91.5 FM Wednesday evening to hear “In The Studio With Jazz Eclectic at 6 PM.
