Golden Knights become the first expansion team to start 3-0-0

The Vegas Golden Knights won their inaugural home game at the T-Mobile Arena becoming the first expansion team in the NHL to ever start 3-0.

The Las Vegas Golden Knight won their first home game on Tuesday with a score of 5-2 making it the first expansion team in 48 years to win its first 3 games. In a pre-game ceremony,  first responders from the October 1st mass shooting were escorted by players onto the ice before the arena joined in singing the national anthem. The Knights scored 3 goals within the first 6 minutes of the game giving the team an electrifying start to its new tenure here in Las Vegas.

The Knights top offensive player is James Neal. Neal has set numerous records within only 3 games with the Knights. Neal is one of two players with 5+ goals in expansion team’s first 3 games played, 4th player in the expansion era to score in each of his team’s first 3 games in the inaugural season, and 2nd player from any NHL team to score the game-winning goal in each of his club’s first 3 games played in any regular-season.
