In honor of Black History Month, Zachary Green sits down with UNLV’s African Student Association to discuss the organizations 5th annual fashion show called “Afroverse.” A night dedicated to high African fashion, authentic cuisine, and new cultural experiences. Edna Wanene, the organizations communications director goes in depth on the event and breaks down common stereotypes regarding African Americans. In addition, the fashion show takes place on February 2, at UNLV’s Student Union Ballroom.
