8th Annual Great Vegas Festival of Beer brings in over 10,000 guests to Downtown Las Vegas

The 8th Annual Great Vegas Festival of Beer at the World Market Pavilion Downtown Las Vegas brought in over 10,000 guests.  The two day event started with the Mad Craft Experience with local brewers and chefs served up one unlimited samples of over 30 beers and 20 dishes, topped off with The Grand Tasting of over 120 breweries with 500 beers from around the nation.  Part of the proceeds will benefit local charities like Folded Flag Foundation, the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation, the Goodie Two Shoes Foundation and the Nevada Brewers Association.  The Culinary companies competing in the categories for Best Craft Beer-Infused Bacon Dish, Best Craft Beer-Infused Vegetable Dish and Best Craft Beer-Infused Overall Dish participants were CraftHaus Brewery, Joseph James Brewing Company, and Lagunitas Brewing Company among others.  Mad Craft Breweries competing in categories for Best Beer Blend, Best Beer Cocktail, Best Specialty Beer and Best Beer Experiment.  Interactive experiences at the event were by the Zappos Pretzel Brewtique, PT Brewing Co.’s beer pong, Ellis Island’s Karaoke Front Yard and Brooklyn Bowl’s Silent Disco.  Sponsors for this years’ Great Vegas Festival of Beer were Barefoot Wine & Bubbly, PKWY Tavern and New Amsterdam Vodka.  Food trucks and local restaurants participated in the event as well, adding to its long running success in Las Vegas.
